There is only two things certain in life...

...death and taxes. Just a gentle reminder that, if you're like me and you haven't filed all of your taxes yet, you only have a left week to do it. Also if your like me, single (well, not married) with no dependents and no serious deductions, it only takes like 20 mins.

Amen sistah. I have yet to file mine because I have to file in two different states and I've never had to do that. So I figure if I ignore it, it is bound to go away.

your bf makes me want to vomit. *Bitter and Jaded party of one...now calling Bitter and Jaded party of one.*

I think taxes are something that other people do, I myself don't participate in such things... slash I don't have the mental capacity to do them so I send them to a nice man in Bethesda to do them.

did mine in jan as soon as i got the appropriate forms. even with interest revenue, mortgage interest, work deductions, and filing in two states it wasn't that bad ... thanks to turbotax ... WELL worth the whatever i had to pay.

CAn you explain how to do the DC part-year resident taxes... Seriously, the surgeries they perform on all of those doctors shows have to be easier, like the guy with the baby on the rerun of Grey's Anatomy.. piece of cake.

BF- Yes I know sweetie, only in the eyes of the state...

Carrie- See I tried to play the "out of sight, out of mind" game with my DC taxes last year. Didn't really work out so well since they robbed me of my federal tax refund this year. Oh well.

Dale- I'd have other people do my taxes but sadly my life isn't interesting enough (read: no mortgage, stocks, capital gains, etc...) to need other people to do them

Taylor- I used H&R block and it was the bomb

Hateful- Sadly I cannot explain this to you. Try calling the DC tax office...
